Hailey Bieber has inspired many trends such as her Erewhon smoothie, her style of acrylic nails and her skincare line “Rhode.”

When you think of Hailey Bieber’s name do you think about her modeling career? Or is it the array of Hailey Bieber-centered trends popular on the internet? We went to try three of her most viral trends, from nails to lip gloss to a smoothie, to see if they are worth spending your money on.

“Hailey Bieber nails” are almond shaped acrylics with a white base with white chrome powder on top. They look similar to a pearl or a glazed doughnut. These nails are a fun way to put a twist on plain white nails, all while feeling classy and put together. Their simplicity makes them go with any outfit or jewelry, as well as subtly elevating one’s look. They are perfect for minimalists looking for a cute, clean and classic style.

Hailey Bieber’s Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie is made up of twelve ingredients, costing $19 for a 20 ounce cup at the Erewhon supermarket in Los Angeles. The combination of almond milk, avocado and coconut cream gives it a thick consistency, while the strawberries adds a hint of sweetness. By first glance, the smoothie is visually appealing, but the taste was a bit underwhelming. We expected a strong strawberry taste but the bananas overpowered the rest of the smoothie. For almost $20, we wouldn’t say that the smoothie is worth the purchase.

“Rhode,” Hailey Beiber’s skincare line, has recently risen in popularity. Their most highly rated product is their peptide lip tint, costing $16, which won the Allure Best of Beauty award in 2022. The product comes in four different shades, ranging from espresso, a dark brown tint, to ribbon, a sheer pink tint. The packaging is monochromatic and reflects the simplicity of the product, and is easy to apply with. Although the product hydrated my lips well when I first started using it, over time it became more grainy and less hydrating. There are many high end lip balms, such as the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm that can be purchased for $24 at Sephora, that are more hydrating and come in a similar shade range.

Overall, while the nails are cute and stylish, a $20 smoothie and her peptide lip treatment are not worth your money. Some of these trends are fun to try, but think twice before spending your money on them.
