It was all gold for the boys’ racquetball team as it racked up 2524 points to win the state championship in competition held at the Multnomah Athletic Club Jan. 21-25. The girls placed fourth with 1,376 points, and the combined teams finished second overall behind Beaverton.

Sunset came in second for the boys in a field of 17 teams, and Southridge beat 14 schools to win the girls’ title.

Individual championships in the Gold classification were posted by Gavin Usher, Sam Lerner, and John Curley. Usher teamed up with Will Hoge to win the #1 doubles title, and Arjun Bedi joined Lerner to take the #2 doubles title.
