The “Madden” series of video games is named after the late football coach John Madden who coached multiple teams including the oakland raiders.. There are forty different games in the series, with the first released in 1988. The current game is “Madden 24.” The game is based on the professional sports league the National Football League (NFL). A lot of players including myself have a lot of complaints about the game.
In the game you can control your favorite teams and make player trades to better them and win the Superbowl. Another mode in the game is called ultimate team where you play games in order to get past and present players to better your team and then go head to head against other players online instead of the CPU.
“Madden” is made by Electronic Arts (EA), a video game company founded in 1982 in San Mateo California. They have many popular sports video games including NHL, UFC, FIFA, Madden and F1. Their most popular game is the iconic soccer series FIFA that has gamers playing from around the world.
A problem that I complain about is that the game is basically the same game as last year with new player face scans. Most of the modes like “face of the franchise” and “ultimate team” were in “madden 23” and have not changed much. I could not help but notice how long it took to load different game modes. I was annoyed at how laggy it was and how the game would sometimes just shut down.
The game pushes ads about how you can buy packs with good players in them. The game already costs $60 and it seems unfair that you need to spend even more money to progress in the game.
The game does have some really amazing graphics that show the turf on the field and the team’s logo on their helmets. Another good thing about the game is the new face scans which show what the players actually look like under their helmets. Each player’s tattoos are also very visible throughout the game. I think if the game creators added a few new game modes and features then it would become a good game.
Madden 24 is basically the same game as madden 23. While there are some new graphics and new player face scans it has the same style and physics as the past games. I would give this game a three out of ten stars based on what I have said throughout this article.
