Con Team, Ethics Bowl place 2nd at state

The Constitution team placed second at at the State Competition Jan. 21 at the Mark O. Hatfield Courthouse. Grant captured the top spot. Franklin placed third.

The team, comprised of 35 sophomores and juniors, competed in “units” of five to six in a simulated congressional hearing, presenting a prepared statement followed by several minutes of questioning from judges.

Less than an hour later, the Ethics Bowl team also finished second in state, behind OES. That group debates ethical questions and theories while being scored by judges.
