The school was alive with the sounds of music as the concert band and jazz ensemble joined forces with the West Sylvan wind ensemble in the annual winter concert Jan. 22.

Billed as “Future Cardinals,” the concert featured over 30 students from West Sylvan performing three numbers under the direction of Craig Gibson.

Led by Lincoln music director Aaron Barnes, the combined bands from both schools filled the stage with over 100 performers, who played “Happy,” from the movie Despicable Me 2″ to close out the evening.
