Letter from the editor: Welcome Back

Welcome back!

As you scroll through these pages, you’ll notice revamped Cardinal Times. We have more than double the staff of last year, so we’re introducing several new sections we hope our readers enjoy. This includes an advice column for new students, a segment dedicated to race issues and a Spanish-language section run by our sister publication, puño & letra. Special to this first issue is a comprehensive report on the lead in Lincoln’s water and an introduction to this year’s Cardinal Times staff. Happy reading!

Your new CT team is ready to take up the torch on a tradition that began way back in 1897. We’re committed to covering all Lincoln issues with high-quality reporting and writing. But don’t forget that we’re still students learning, just like you. If you’re not happy with something in our publication, contact us, but please be nice.

We really want to be a newspaper for YOU, the Lincoln community. If there’s any issue you feel is going unreported or needs to be investigated, let us know by emailing [email protected], or hit us up on social media (see below. Don’t laugh, we have a Snapchat. Our story is pretty cool).

Thanks for reading,

Jamie Bikales
