The varsity girls’ basketball team beat the Benson Techsters 39-24 Feb. 6 in the Cardinal Coliseum. Senior Reilly Johnson and junior Rakiyah Mullings scored a combined 19 points to help the Cardinals (10-1, 14-5) maintain their #2 spot in the PIL. They play at Jefferson Feb. 10.

The varsity boys also beat Benson 56-43 in the second half of a double-header. Jonah Pemberton led the Cardinals with 17 points, and Trent Callan dropped in 14. Next Tuesday, the boys (10-1, 14-5) play Jefferson (10-1, 13-4) at home. In their last encounter Jan. 10, the Cardinals beat the Democrats 65-64.
