Varsity boys top Benson, maintain PIL lead

Four Cardinals had double-digit scoring as Lincoln beat Benson 67-46 Jan. 30 at Benson. The win puts the boys atop the PIL standings with an 11-5 overall record and 7-1 in league games.

Jackson Pyle led all players with 18 points. Jonah Pemberton (13), Bailey Hazard (11), and Trent Callan (10) added to the scoring attack.

Lincoln enters the second half of the season at Madison (3-13, 1-7) on Feb. 2. The Cardinals beat the Senators earlier in the season 80-28.

In afternoon play, the JV boys beat Benson 77-41. Freshman Aiden Anastas led all scorers with 24 points.
