Bus line 51 was scheduled to show up at S.W. 18th and Morrison at 3:25 p.m. Oct. 8, but it didn’t appear until 30 minutes later. The 51 line runs only on weekdays, and runs about every 45 minutes.  “This isn’t the only time Trimet has had these scheduling issues,” said Martha Prinz, Lincoln parent.

Occasionally TriMet buses will skip stops to gain back time that they have lost. “Considering the bus runs so infrequently, being 30 minutes late is a really big deal,” Prinz said. Bus 51 does not run on the weekends due to budget cuts and a lack of TriMet riders, according to TriMet.
