New Tutor Aims to Revamp Writing Center

The Writing Center has a new head tutor. Molly Dickinson plans to revitalize the library-based program, which aims to provide writing advice from knowledgeable tutors to any student who needs assistance with an assignment.

Dickinson says that “everything is starting anew and being reworked,” although tutoring times are still 2:30-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Drop-ins are accepted but priority will be given to those who make appointments via [email protected].

Dickinson hopes to make the program more accessible and useful to students in need of help. After moving from Northern California six years ago to study at Lewis and Clark College, Dickinson says she “fell in love with the city” and decided to stay and work in Portland. She holds degrees in English literature and poetry writing.
