The boys’ varsity lacrosse team began the regular season at number two in state and was set to play against long time rival, and number-one in state, the Lakeridge Lakers on March 13. Despite efforts to tie the game with seconds left on the clock, the Cardinals lost 7 to 6, knocking them out of the number-two spot.

Their next match was another rivalry game against the Sunset Apollos on March 20 at Apollo Field. Unlike their first game, the boys dominated the Apollos 15-8, placing them at number seven in state.

Their next match-up was April 2 at West Linn, ranked number-four in state and defending state champions. Lincoln lost 15-7. Looking further ahead, the Cards will also face tough opponents such as Wilson, Cleveland, OES, and Grant. With competitive games, the Cardinals will look towards John Duffy, Jack Gross, Graham Voss, and Locke Rohan.
