2026 is the new 2016: we’re bringing back bright drinks, tote bags, vintage filters, and most importantly, squishies. Big brands like NeeDoh and SmushMart are taking over social media with small, colorful fidget toys that have grabbed everyone’s attention, including ours.
The Nice Cube is perhaps the most well-known NeeDoh, but not necessarily the best. The size is nice, with a decent shape, but it is often too firm. It will always be a classic, but when it comes to the Nice Cube, there are simply better choices available.
Big Cheese is a fitting name for this very large, yellow, squishy shaped like a block of cheese. It is undeniably fun and quite durable, but it has one major drawback: its size. It’s simply too big to carry around daily, but definitely a favorite for at home.
The Gummy Bear NeeDoh’s biggest strength is certainly its shape. This bear is lots of fun to play with, with cute ears and feet. The texture isn’t the best NeeDoh has to offer, but it functions with the shape. The Gummy Bear NeeDoh is a great addition to any squishy collection.
The Groovy Glob is one of the more basic NeeDohs, but the color-changing feature is a surprising and fun twist. The NeeDoh appears as one color on the outside, but when squeezed, a different inner color is revealed. With a nice texture and great visual appeal, this squishy is an underrated pick.
With this squishy, a tiny axolotl lives inside the squishy, adding a playful, companion-like feel while you fidget, creating a fun visual and tactile experience. The unfortunate side of this squishy is that the clear outer shell clouds and dirties easily.
In the end, there’s still room for improvement in the squishy world. We have concluded that we have no favorite yet. The search for a durable, yet soft and malleable, playful fidget is still in the works and our determination will not go without an end result.
