Could you please tell me your name, the class that you teach, and your pronouns?

“I’m Ms. Fale-Olsen or Ms. Olsen. My mom is Ms. Fale, and she teaches at Ainsworth, so some of my students have had her. I teach 10th-grade English 3/4 and 11th-grade English IB 5/6 Lit and Lang. My pronouns are she/her.”

What about Lincoln is different from your other schools?

“There are a lot of stairs here. I had to walk up to the sixth floor today and was like, ‘Wow! That’s a lot!’ It’s very centrally located, very cool downtown. It’s a little more focused on a schoolwide IB, whereas there were a lot of different [sections] at my last school.”

What are you most excited about teaching here in Portland?

“I’m from Portland originally, so it’s nice to come back! I went to Wells, which was Wilson when I went there. I’m excited to be back because there is so much more to do, but also I’m excited to teach IB because originally I wanted to be a college professor.”
