 “Ms. Ruiz, R-U-I-Z.”

What are your pronouns?

“She/her.”

What is your position here at Lincoln?

 “I teach math to ninth, 10th, and 11th graders. It’s algebra 3, 4, and geometry.”

How long have you been at Lincoln?

“This is my first year. So, just now, for the second and third weeks.”

Where were you before Lincoln?

 “I was living in Southern California, and I worked for a middle school in Temecula, California. And I was teaching seventh and eighth-graders’ math.”

What is your favorite part of teaching here?

“All the kids are super kind and just do their work, and they’re just on task. There are never really any problems, behaviors, and everyone is so smart. They’re just hardworking here.”

What are some things you like to do for fun outside of work?

“I have a son, so I just hang out with him and play games with him, and my husband. And we go out and play.”
