Senior and Broadcast Managing Editor Frances Reuland is taking an exciting route after being picked to play for the Xavier University soccer team. 

Reuland elaborates on how she believes self-improvement is a factor in new opportunities.

“I feel like it’s pushing yourself to become, you know, a better version,” she said. 

Reuland also expresses her excitement about playing for Xavier. 

“I’m really excited to go. It’s going to be really fun,” she said. “I really want to win the Big East with them, because they’re in that league.”

Community also impacts her feelings towards playing soccer, as being able to play somewhere super important would be impressive to core people in her life.

“Just getting to play in front of my family and friends, you know, would be fun,” she said.

Emphasizing hard work and resilience, Reuland expresses some tips on how to achieve big goals.

“Sometimes those things can be really hard,” she said. “If you just try and find enjoyment throughout those hard things, it makes doing all the hours so much easier.”
