The long awaited In-N-Out Burger is officially coming to Portland! According to EATER PDX , the popular California-based chain has announced plans to open a drive-thru location near Portland International Airport on 10150 NE Cascades Parkway. The restaurant will mark the furthest North In-N-Out location, continuing its steady push into the Pacific Northwest and drawing attention from fans and critics alike.
Renowned for its fresh ingredients, straightforward menu and devoted fan base, In-N-Out’s debut in Portland has already generated excitement and some concern.
Senior Boon Chirijon is looking forward to the new location opening.
“I like In-N-Out because the food is very cheap for a good amount of food, and it tastes good for the price,” Chirijon said. “I feel like I get my money’s worth with both quantity and quality.”
Others, such as senior Thomas Mercado, are surprised by the move.
“This is very surprising as I thought In-N-Out was an exclusively Californian chain,” said senior Thomas Mercado.
Construction is expected to begin later this year, and no official opening date has been announced yet. But one thing is clear: Portland is about to get a new hot spot for burgers.
Senior Ella Spangler shares a similar sentiment.
“I’m really excited for the new location, since the nearest In-N-Out is all the way out in Salem it’ll be great to have one closer by,” said Spangler.
