My main opinion being that generally it’s a fun game, but I don’t think it is for everyone. The right audience will really enjoy it.

“Warhammer 40k space marine 2” is without a doubt meant for a different audience compared to your causal game like cod fortnite etc this game is really different due to the vast world of lore it has and its difficulty which isn’t bad but like this is the kind of stuff my dad would obsess over
But like I said, not a bad thing.

(There’s a multiplayer and single player version of this game. And you are allowed to play both versions for free)

From a casual standpoint this game is really fun. In this game the combat feels immersive. It’s really fun to face different enemies and units with unique weapons ranging from simple stuff like guns to over the top weapons like chainsaw swords and railguns. I think it’s the ridiculous weapons that make this game super entertaining

I had a general clue of the plot due to tik tok videos about it and my dad ranting about it, but if you come into this game without a somewhat decent idea of the plot it’s going to be a little frustrating. It’s the kind of story you have to explore on YouTube and the internet and I can see the hate for that. You shouldn’t have to go out of your way to watch hour long videos covering the story and still not scratch the surface.

The story goes like this: you follow a genetically modified soldier from birth called Knight Titus, And he fights for a version of humanity that is highly religious and strict in order to preserve the emperor of mankind’s legacy and also defend humanity.

Knight Titus and his other genetically modified soldiers fight against a universe with their arsenal of unique weapons, armor, and “strategies” with enemies consisting of orcs, demons, other “heretic” soldier factions, highly advanced aliens and so much more it’s impossible to list it all if you’re truly interested in it you can watch a video on your own terms.

The visuals in this game are good. The game looks great, It’s new gen so I wasn’t shocked it’s realistic. There are also lots of cutscenes to capture the brutality and gritty universe of this game.

This is a sequel to the original Space Marine. There is definitely more variety in the sequel than in the original however from a casual standpoint it’s a simple hack and slash variety game
Comparisons that are good are helldivers and world war z due to all three of these games having constant action it almost feels like you’re playing a movie.

But besides that I think this game is great and if you love 3rd person shooter and story games I recommend giving this a shot!
