What students wear on their feet goes beyond comfort—it’s a way to express themselves. From popular sneakers to unique styles, shoes reflect trends and personality. We decided to dive into Lincoln shoe culture feet first and showcase some of our favorite shoes at Lincoln, which we believe best represent the culture here.
We decided to track down our top five favorite shoes, ranked on uniqueness and general aesthetic appeal, to highlight the school’s vibrant footwear culture.
Our number five choice, Adidas Sambas, are one of the most popular shoes on campus. Their black-and-white design makes them versatile, seamlessly complementing almost any outfit. The simplicity and classic vibe of the Sambas solidify their spot as one of our favorites.
The fourth best shoe we saw at Lincoln was the Jordan 4 Military Blue, whose basic blue and white theme can go perfectly with any navy jeans outfit. Its timeless appeal and effortless style make it a standout choice.
The number three shoe we saw at Lincoln was the Fire Red Jordan 5’s, whose white and red colors perfectly contrasted each other. The bold design captures the energy and vibrancy of Lincoln’s student body while expressing the Cardinal colors.
The second-best shoe we noticed was the Black Cat Jordan 3’s, which distinguished themselves from the rest for their clean, monochrome aesthetic and exclusive appeal. The shoes were recently released after not being available since 2007.
Our choice for the best shoe was the Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined, whose black-and-red design was very unique and would complete any outfit. Across the commons, it was the perfect mixture of all the previous shoes. With a timeless silhouette and monochrome base, it also has hints of red, which shows the Cardinal spirit.
Whether you’re rocking a pair of Jordans, Sambas, or something entirely different, there’s room for everyone to express their style. Shoes at Lincoln are more than just footwear—they’re a celebration of individuality and creativity.
