Providence Park, home of The Portland Timbers, is right next to Lincoln. Their 2024 regular season has now ended. Here’s what you need to know about Portland Timbers annual memberships.
Portland resident and soccer fan Crystal Lenhart was eager to feel the joy of the Portland Timbers Army she had heard about from family. She was eager to immerse herself in the game fans were passionate about. The only problem was that she couldn’t get tickets due to the team’s popularity.
When tickets finally became available, Lenhart bought one. She loved the game. She loved the atmosphere, the way sweat trickled down her forehead as the clock ran out, the way fans sang, pleading for a win. She said she felt at home at the stadium, which was the feeling she had been searching for.
Now Lenhart has been a fan for more than sixteen years, which has become something she and her husband share. Lenhart had bought her annual membership when the Timbers were a part of the United Soccer League (USL) before the Timbers were adopted into Major League Soccer (MLS).
Lenhart is a member of the Axe society which gives you more privileges and benefits, including giving you the advantage of priority ticket sales and merch.
Becoming an annual member of the Portland Timbers is easier than ever before. Timbers annual memberships are now on sale for the 2025 season that starts next year in February.
Lenhart believes the cost of an annual membership is worth it.
“The Timbers hold special events just for annual members where you can meet the team,” said Lenhart. “I also receive free Apple TV streaming for the league, so I can watch any past games or any games I can’t attend.”
Portland resident Roberto Reynoso, another Timbers fan, also has been a part of the Portland Timbers annual membership for 20 years. He said he’s still a proud member of the society, even if the Timbers aren’t currently up to par with their past seasons.
Thomas likes both the moments he’s been given as well as the memories of going to Timbers games.
“[As part of the Society] I get a limited pin every year, and my favorite memories were when Timber Joey cuts off a part of the log every time the team scores,” said Thomas. “It’s truly a joy and privilege to watch.”
