Students are inspired to document their world.

Many Lincoln students connect personally to photography. Students say they are inspired to take pictures by their everyday lives, including going to school downtown.

Lincoln’s DIGI program provides several classes including digital photography 1-2, graphic arts 1-2, digital media 3-4, and digital media 5-6. Students participate in group projects, field trips and class visits from the people in the industry. Program completers have the opportunity to grow their portfolios and engage with clients.

“I like photographing cars. I would also like to photograph portraits, scenery, and architecture,” said senior Alex Shihata.

Students believe that Lincoln’s photography classes offer support and community.

“There’s a lot of cool people you can interact with, you can collaborate with them as well, and get great advice,” said senior Jack Caldwell.

Photographers here believe in the artistry of the DIGI program.

“I’ll say I learned a new skill set and also being able to have a new creative outlet and being able to capture the world around me,” said Shihata.

Perfecting your work in Lincoln’s classes means individuality and vision.

“Find out what you think fits you best. Try to find your own style,” said senior Jason Lane.
