Journey through Holman Lane

Holman Lane starts on NW 53rd Drive, roughly a fourth of a mile off of NW Cornell Road. Park in the designated parking lot, which will be marked by logs around the perimeter, and walk downhill a few hundred yards. The entrance to the trail will be on your left, and will be flanked by “No Spray” signs. Descending roughly 500 feet in elevation and a mile in length, the trail has little switchbacks, and is mostly straight.

Jogging along the trail is allowed, even though the trail is muddy during the winter, although biking is not allowed downhill. However, cyclists are free to take the trail uphill during the dry season. The trail finishes at Willamette Heights on 33rd and Raleigh, with attractions and food on 23rd just a few blocks away. As well, the hike ends near a large meadow, perfect for a picnic stop. With beautiful foliage and views, Holman Lane is a great easy-to-medium difficulty hike, and should take around an hour round-trip.
