Seniors set to ‘party out’ after commencement ceremony

Seniors will celebrate four years of hard work by attending the All-Night Grad party on June 8, immediately following graduation. Although the party is not a surprise, the location and events are, and volunteers have been working to organize it.

“We have a committee of wonderful parents helping us, and many of them have helped in the past,” said first-year co-chairman April Paris.

Geni Director, also co-chairman, agreed. “All of this would not be possible without the great volunteers that stepped up to help make this party a success and run smoothly,” she said. Previous parties have included activities such as swimming and court sports.

Seniors have been asked to submit an $100 payment for the event in the GRAD box at the main office as soon as possible. Students cannot board the bus that takes them to the party without turning in their payments and paperwork.

“The party is not only a safe place for the seniors to gather after graduation, but it is also the last night that they will all be together before going off in their different ways,” Paris said. “Lincoln is a special school where friendships are deep and everyone is close.”

Students are asked not to bring electronics to the party, and are not allowed to bring any belongings on the bus. Buses will return to Lincoln the morning after graduation between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m.

“[The All-Night Grad party] is a fun way for the seniors to end their high school experience by being with each other and celebrating graduation,” Director said. “It helps build community with our students and families as the seniors graduate and move on to their next endeavors after high school.”
