Staff Profile: Ethan Johnson

Ethan Johnson played in the NFL as a Defensive End for the Kansas City Chiefs.

This week’s staff profile introduces Ethan Johnson, the school’s equity specialist and former NFL player for the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnson was born and raised in Portland and graduated from Lincoln in 2008. He attended the University of Notre Dame, graduated in 2012, and earned his bachelor’s degree in finance.  Q: What clubs, sports, or organizations were you involved in during high school?

A: I was on the football, basketball, track, and swim teams.

 Q: What career did you want when you were in high school?

A: I didn’t know.

 Q: What was your favorite part about high school?

A: My favorite experience was being on the same football team as my brother.

 Q: What did you dislike most about high school?

A: The lack of freedom.

 Q: Who were your role models growing up?

A: My parents.

 Q: Before becoming a staff member, what were your previous jobs?

A: I was in the NFL. I had to stop because got injured.

 Q: Why did you choose to become a staff member?

A: I actually applied for the study hall supervisor position which Alex Linnenkohl got. Then they hired me as an equity specialist. I work with students to make sure they stay on track and graduate.

 Q: What advice would you offer to high school students?

A: Do your homework.

 Q: What are your hobbies?

A: Playing saxophone, working out, and reading the Bible.
