Lady Gaga: ARTPOP

Lady Gaga: ARTPOP

After releasing her fourth studio album, Lady Gaga has reached a new career high. ARTPOP is Gaga’s best work, and continues to explore themes of celebrity and high-class status that started with her first studio album The Fame. Tracks such as  “Donatella” and “Mary Jane Holland” look at the damaging elements of international fame and extreme amounts of wealth.

Gaga also takes this album further with tracks such as “G.U.Y.” and “Gypsy” that focus on female sexuality and empower women to take control of their romantic relationships and to create an identity outside of their romantic encounters.

The style of the music is similar to most Top 40 hit, dominated by computer-generated sounds and common dance-floor beats that serve to accent Gaga’s vocals. The songs are catchy, making both the lyrics and music entertaining independently or put together.
