OSAA postpones fall sports to spring

OSAA’s new basic. sports schedule for the 2020-21 school year, seen in a graphic above.

Oregon is one of more than a dozen states to postpone fall 2020 high school sports until the spring. Each sports season (winter, fall and spring, in that order) will have two weeks of practice and seven weeks of competition, followed by an OSAA “culminating week” of state championships. Practice weeks for fall and spring sports will overlap with the OSAA culminating weeks of the winter and fall seasons respectively. Football will have three weeks of practice in order to meet the state-mandated nine days of on‐field practice prior to the start of their season.
