Teacher contract negotiations reach framework agreement
Almost halfway through their second year working without a contract, the teachers’ union and PPS have reached a “settlement framework” that is expected to lead to a contract.
“The framework offers a competitive package of pay and benefits and a number of measures aimed at improving students’ experience in our schools,” superintendent Guadalupe Guerrero wrote in an email to parents. “The next step is to finalize language that would lead to a tentative agreement” by the end of the week, he added.
