Football loses season opener in low-scoring affair

Cardinal football got off to a slow start to season on a rainy night in Lake Oswego, falling to the Lakers by a score of just 7-0.

Lake Oswego quarterback Jake Dukart came into the game in the second quarter and his first play was a 52-yard touchdown pass, the only score of the game for both teams.

The Cardinals were ranked tenth in the state heading into the season by the Oregonian/Oregonlive media poll, after reaching the quarterfinals of the State Playoffs last year.

Lincoln faces Issaquah (WA) in its first home game next Friday at 6pm.
