Back-to-back doubleheaders conclude week

The varsity boys’ and girls’ second-place standings in the PIL will be put on the line when the teams host two doubleheaders to conclude a busy week of action.

The girls (8-1 league, 12-5 overall) host Roosevelt, third in the league, Thursday at 5:45 p.m.  Benson, 6th in the PIL, visits the Cardinal Coliseum Friday at 6:30 p.m.  The boys (7-1, 11-5) complete the doubleheader each evening, with games beginning at 8 p.m.

Lincoln’s girls beat Madison 50-37 Feb. 3 at home. Reed Hazard scored 16 points, and Rakiyah Millings added 13.  Kileigh Capelle scored 11 of her 22 points in the first quarter to lead the JV girls over the Senators 48-16.  The JV 2 girls lost 27-19. Anne Marie Field had 7 points for the Cardinals.
