Lolich, Mancers Highlight May Fete; Retiring Staff Say Goodbye

Although the video system malfunctioned at the May Fete assembly May 30, the spotlight on six retiring staff members has been preserved.  Missing from the video are social science teacher Ted Dreier and English teacher Carol Dennis. Check here for the tribute. The video, created by Michael Field and Katie Kelley, will be shown at the senior honors assembly on June 3.

Highlighting the May Fete assembly was the return of alum Mickey Lolich (’58), longtime pitcher for the Detroit Tigers who won three World Series games in 1958 and named MVP. Detroit went on to win the championship in seven games. Entertaining students and alumni were the jazz band and a performance by the Mancers, a dance troupe of senior boys choreographed by the Cardinal Dancers.
