Varsity chess players beat Clackamas in a multi-school competition held in the cafeteria Dec. 17. The JV2 team beat Grant, and JV players took second to the Jesuit varsity.

Junior Clemen Deng closed out the varsity meet with a win to give Lincoln the victory. Deng was 2014 Oregon Grand Champion and took third in the nation in open competition last spring.

Lincoln will be hosting a tournament Jan. 10. Science teacher Steve Runion is the coach.
