Club raises clothes for children

Project Lemonade held its first meeting Oct 16 to support a second-hand clothing shop for foster children in need of school clothes.

“One new back-to-school outfit would mean the world to these kids, and that’s why we’re doing this,” said Quinn Anderson, co-president with Dominic Risch. Meetings will continue to occur during lunch on Wednesdays in Rm. 124.

Project Lemonade’s goal is to “offer support to inspire self-esteem and promote success” within the foster youth population. Gail Anderson, Quinn Anderson’s mom, is director of grant writing and fundraising, and together, the mother-daughter pair brought the program to Lincoln last year.
