Cardinals Care hosts toiletries drive for the homeless

Through April 30, students may bring toiletries to a bin marked “Cardinals Care” outside the office in the main hallway.

The supplies will be donated to the homeless through a non-profit organization called JOIN as they try to clean up for job opportunities. Items needed are soap, shampoo, disposable razors, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.

“I think this is a cool idea because it’s important to remember those in need and help them out,” Allie Field, junior, said.

Toiletries may be any size, as long as they are unopened. “I have a ton of sample shampoo and conditioner from the hotels I stayed in over spring break,” junior Mareka Tsongas said, “so I will definitely be donating those.”
